Radisson Edwardian Manchester

The preserved Italianate frontage of this listed building belies the cool contemporary interior of the Radisson Edwardian Manchester. Formerly Manchester's Free Trade Hall the hotel is located in the city centre, opposite the GMEX. Sleek polished wood fittings and glass finishes characterise the 263 air conditioned guestrooms, all of which include marble bathrooms with mirrored dressing areas and Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems.

The hotel's two restaurants offer modern British dishes: Opus One is decked with antique wall coverings and red chandeliers whilst Alto Terrace provides a more intimate setting with contemporary furniture, cream walls and a terrace for al fresco dining in fine weather.

The hotel boasts a health spa offering a range of treatments including a solarium, sauna, steam room and swimming pool with jet stream, hot tub and spa bath. The spa also houses a fitness centre with equipment for cardiovascular and weight training. Guests can unwind in the bar or browse magazines at the on site newsagent, and those away on business will find a range of facilities including conference and function rooms (the largest of which has capacity for 550 people and is set in the former concert hall of Manchester's Hallé orchestra), a business lounge, informal work stations and complimentary wireless Internet access.

For visitors wishing to explore the city, the concierge is on hand to book tickets, make reservations and advise guests on their itinerary. Nearby attractions include Bridgewater Hall - now home to the Hallé Orchestra, adjacent to the hotel, while the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry and Granada Television Studios are both within one kilometre. The hotel is located 7.5 miles away from Manchester airport and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes.
